The 8 best restaurants on and near Saratoga Lake

Saratoga Lake is about 4.5 miles long, and four municipalities share the shore: the City of Saratoga Springs, Malta, Stillwater and the Town of Saratoga. This list is for boaters, golfers and anyone driving out Union Avenue or Route 9P for dinner. Three of the eight restaurants are in the city, two are in Malta, two are in Stillwater and one is in the Town of Saratoga, and most use a Saratoga Springs mailing address no matter where they sit.

All eight were open as of Oct. 20, 2026, and none had posted a seasonal closing date, though lakeside patios close for the cold months. The list stops at eight because those were all the sit-down restaurants on the lake roads we could verify. The Route 9 restaurants in Malta are on our Malta restaurants list.

How we chose

We looked for sit-down restaurants on the lake shore or within about two miles of the water, on Route 9P, Union Avenue east of the Northway, Fish Creek, Route 423 and Lake Lonely, and we confirmed where each one sits from New York State Health Department records and the U.S. Census geocoder. Each one was confirmed open as of Oct. 20, 2026, from the restaurant’s own website and a 2026 source, and hours and prices come from those pages. Chains were left off. The list is unranked and in alphabetical order, and no restaurant paid to be included.

Hours, prices and dates below come from each business or official source and change without notice. Call ahead if you are making a special trip.

Book ahead for a special dinner, and ask for a seat by the windows, which look west over the lake.
