The Placid Baker is a bakery at 250 Broadway in downtown Troy.
The bakery makes croissants, kouign amann and other pastry, bagels and donuts, breads such as baguette, ciabatta, Finnish rye, challah and naturally leavened sourdough, and French macarons. Lunch includes sandwiches on house ciabatta, soup, and Roman-style pan pizza and sourdough pizza by the slice.
