Lucy’s Bar is a cocktail bar at 5 Caroline Street in downtown Saratoga Springs, set back from the sidewalk in a space that was once Smokin’ Sam’s Cigar Shop and later the lunch spot Whole Harvest. Longtime friends Kelsey McPartland, Zack VanEarden and Lucy Rivas remodeled the room and opened the bar in September 2021.
The concept is come-as-you-are: a shot and a beer after work or a full cocktail list, with a house drink the bar simply calls a Lucy. Weekends draw a younger crowd and weeknights skew older, the bar manager told The Daily Gazette, and the room does a steady business in holiday work parties and wedding welcome parties. The owners also run Little Lucy’s, a mobile bar for events.
