Hattie’s is a Southern and Louisiana restaurant on Phila Street in downtown Saratoga Springs. It traces its roots to 1938, when Hattie Moseley Austin Gray opened her Chicken Shack in the city.
The fried chicken is the dish the restaurant is known for, and it was featured on Bobby Flay’s Throwdown. The menu also runs to jambalaya, chicken and waffles, and Key lime pie. Since 2021 the restaurant has been owned by Ed and Lisa Mitzen, who donate its profits to local organizations.
