The Bolton Chamber of Commerce promotes the hamlet of Bolton Landing on the west shore of Lake George from its visitor center at 4928 Lakeshore Drive. The chamber’s pitch is that Bolton has been a refuge for travelers since 1799, drawing writers, artists, musicians and generations of families to its sheltered stretch of the lake.
The chamber site guides visitors to hiking, from short family walks to full-day climbs, along with kayaking, boat tours, beaches, shops, restaurants and lodging in Bolton and the Lake George basin. Members are listed in a business directory, and the chamber runs a calendar of village events through the year.
