The Town of Ballston is a Saratoga County town south of Saratoga Springs whose Town Hall is at 323 Charlton Road in Ballston Spa. The town takes in the hamlet of Burnt Hills, part of the village of Ballston Spa and a stretch of Route 50, and has grown fast with subdivisions along the Route 50 and Charlton Road corridors.
Town government runs the highway department, water districts, the town court and the planning and zoning boards. Recent business on the town’s site includes water use restrictions that took effect May 25, 2026, a proposed local law amending the Eastline Commons planned development district, a consolidated water district extension and a purchase-of-development-rights program that scores farm parcels for preservation.
