Backstretch Employee Service Team of NY

The Backstretch Employee Service Team, or BEST, is a nonprofit that serves the grooms, hotwalkers and other workers in the barn areas of Saratoga Race Course, Belmont Park and Aqueduct. The Saratoga office is inside the track at 267 Union Avenue, Gate 6, Cottage 28B.

BEST provides on-site counseling, primary health care, help enrolling in health insurance and case management, and runs community events for backstretch workers during the meet. The group reports thousands of health visits and counseling sessions a year.
