Saratoga County Fair

The Saratoga County Fair is the county’s agricultural fair, held each July at the Saratoga County Fairgrounds, 162 Prospect Street in Ballston Spa. The Saratoga County Agricultural Society, formed in 1841, has put on the fair since that year, and the 2026 fair ran July 21 through 26.

The fairgrounds have been the fair’s home since the society took over the Union Fairgrounds in 1882; the grandstand dates to 1896, after the original collapsed during the 1895 fair. The grounds cover about 30 acres of exhibition space plus 24 acres of parking, and outside fair week the society rents buildings for events and storage. The society is volunteer-run, with a 21-member board.
