Adirondack Operation Santa Claus began Thanksgiving Eve 1974 with a Hudson Falls teacher's 50-mile walk and now provides food and clothing to nearly 2,500 disadvantaged children in Warren, Washington, Northern Saratoga, Essex, and Hamilton counties each holiday.
