Harding Mazzotti Arena is the 4,794-seat arena at 1 Civic Center Plaza, at Glen Street and Oakland Avenue in downtown Glens Falls, home of the ECHL’s Adirondack Thunder. The building opened on May 18, 1979 as the Glens Falls Civic Center, became Cool Insuring Arena under a 2017 naming deal, and took the Harding Mazzotti name in 2025 after the Colonie personal injury law firm bought the rights through 2030.
The city owns the arena and the nonprofit Adirondack Civic Center Coalition runs it. The Adirondack Red Wings of the AHL played here from 1979 to 1999, followed by the Phantoms, the Flames and, since 2015, the Thunder. Beyond hockey the arena hosts concerts, Section 2 basketball and wrestling championships, the state girls’ volleyball championships each November and the annual Queensbury-Adirondack high school hockey rivalry game.
